The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D ) degree, is the utmost academic qualification to be achieved by enthusiastic candidates. Eligibility for joining PhD program accomplish following qualities. Primarly candidate must be master a specific subject completely. Secondly, must extend the basic knowledge about that Pharma subject.

The Doctor of Philosophy was started in the department of pharmacy practice during the academic year 2004, approved research center for pursuing Ph.D course affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.

Full time: 3 years

Part time: 4 years

M.Pharmacy degree with 60% Marks

Road map after submission of Synopsis/Thesis for Ph.D.

After submission of Synopsis by the candidate to this University, the same has to be sent to the following 3 external examiners within 15 Days for acceptance of evaluation of thesis.

3 Examiners.,

1. One examiner from Southern India

2. One examiners from rest of India and

3. One examiners from abroad

After getting acceptance from the examiners, thesis has to be sent to the examiners in hard copy by courier & soft copy by E-mail within 15 Days for evaluation

Ph.D. Evaluation

The Examiners have to submit their reports in hard copy by post & soft copy by e.mail within 3 Months from the date of receipt of thesis from the University.

3 Months

If no report is received by the University at the end of 3 Months, the Vice Chancellor will appoint fourth examiner.

The Thesis must be approved by all the 3 external examiners.

Consolidated Report

After getting evaluation reports from three external examiners, the same has to be sent the guide for preparation of consolidated report within 15 Days

The consolidated report will be sent by the Guide in hard copy by post & soft copy by e.mail within 1 Month
